As such, when looking at a philosophical question or idea, I would force myself to stare deeply into the possibility that it was true. No matter how much I wanted to discount that possibility, I would stare into the possibility that it was true. No matter how much I felt it was unnecessary to even investigate, I would stare into the possibility that it was true until that possibility whirled around my head and through my very soul.
Therefore real honesty means staring deeply, deeply, deeply into the possibility that something you don't want to believe in might actually, really, genuinely be the truth.
If you really want to disprove something, if you really want to fight something, you have to let go of your own preconceptions about it.
