Chandrakirti shows that if you examine the base of the designation of 'Matt' (or 'me' or 'self'), i.e.: the mind, the body, thoughts, emotions, personality, and so forth, that give rise to the designation 'Matt', you will be unable to find any 'Matt' there. The only 'Matt' that does exist is the imputed 'Matt' itsef.
